An extraordinary private collection of the greatest names in Burgundy will be released for sale by Goedhuis & Co on Monday 25th October 2010. The collection features top producers of both white and red Burgundy and comprises 190 cases. The total value of the collection is in excess of £500,000. Prices range from £360 (£30 per bottle) to £12,000 for a case six.
If one was to create a Who’s Who of Burgundy producers, the list of names in this extraordinary cellar would be as good a place to start as any: from Romanée-Conti, de Vogüé, Leroy and Cathiard in the Côte de Nuits to Coche-Dury and Domaine Lafon in the Côte de Beaune to name just a few.
Mark Robertson, head of broking, comments “This is undoubtedly the greatest Burgundy collection I have seen in several years”.
The advert will appear in FT’s Weekend (23rd Oct) and in the FT Hong Kong addition.
