We’ve just completed the new site design for our friends at Muse. We commissioned the fabulous talent of BECHA to create 8 truly inspiring illustrations. Check back next week for updates once the site goes live.
Ideas separated at birth?
We got an email today telling us to check out Brand New’s feature on San Diego Zoo’s rebrand. This is a recent rebranding project we discovered Landor have just released. For anyone following this blog, you may recall a feature on an identity we created at the beginning of the year for PetVillas (but took it down from the blog because their site wasn’t live by the time we released the identity).
Clearly the similarities are uncanny.
Don’t get us wrong though. We’re not accusing Landor of stealing our idea. We think Landor has done a nice job of the Zoo’s identity.
We just can’t figure out if this is by chance or if we happened to inspire someone somewhere.
You be the judge.
(Special thanks to Kostadin Kostadinov for his collaboration)
Goedhuis&Co to appear in FT’s Weekend Magazine
An extraordinary private collection of the greatest names in Burgundy will be released for sale by Goedhuis & Co on Monday 25th October 2010. The collection features top producers of both white and red Burgundy and comprises 190 cases. The total value of the collection is in excess of £500,000. Prices range from £360 (£30 per bottle) to £12,000 for a case six.
If one was to create a Who’s Who of Burgundy producers, the list of names in this extraordinary cellar would be as good a place to start as any: from Romanée-Conti, de Vogüé, Leroy and Cathiard in the Côte de Nuits to Coche-Dury and Domaine Lafon in the Côte de Beaune to name just a few.
Mark Robertson, head of broking, comments “This is undoubtedly the greatest Burgundy collection I have seen in several years”.
The advert will appear in FT’s Weekend (23rd Oct) and in the FT Hong Kong addition.

Art of Kinetik photoshoot
We’ve just got back from a photoshoot in Kotor, Montenegro.
It’s hard to judge which was more stunning; Art of Kinetik’s newest creation – the Hedonist – or the picturesque landscape of Kotor.
You can judge for yourself.
Big thanks to Jasmina and Boris for all their kind hospitality.
Special thanks to the talent of Sam Barker for the fantastic photography.
The Kollektiv
Say hello to The Kollektiv.
An group of extraordinarily experienced people who come from all walks of business life; from academics to business professionals, marketing brains to cutting edge technologists and more.
Think A-Team meets senior executives.
Our brief was to project The Kollektiv as a brand that does not follow the same footsteps of others.
We employed the talents of motion director, Onur Senturk to help us model the logo in 3D – as well as bring it to life by animating it.
Watch this space. We’ll update you in time when the brand is live.
Devines Hill
Part of what’s great about getting to work every day is you just don’t know what you’ll be working on next. So it came as a real surprise when we were invited to create the brand for a new Australian wine label – Devines Hill.
Our induction to the wine industry started with a visit to the London Wine & Spirits Fair. The fair, for anyone who has not been there, is packed with wine makers from around the world all showcasing and sampling their wines. What’s immediately apparent, is the wine industry is a tough market to stand out in – every bottle of wine looks and feels like another bottle of wine.
Coming away from the fair we were really enthusiast about finding new and fresh ideas to create some breakthrough/standout for Devines Hill. Of course we weren’t without our imposed limitations – e.g. we aren’t able to design or change the physical shape of the bottle and we must cohere with all the wine labelling regulations (i.e. country of origin, alcohol content rating, etc.).
The images above show some of our initial concepts. Designing and printing straight onto the bottle was a direction we were very keen on initially. Infact it’s an idea we’re still keen on (but perhaps for another project).
We came back to using a conventional label – primarily because of cost. We took the same philosophy with the label as we took without – keep it simple and contemporary, but most importantly create stand-out (without using gimmicks).
We’re waiting now for confirmation from the wine authorities. Next step ; the printers.
Watch this space, we’ll post an update once we have the final product to celebrate with.
Saigol DDC
We’ve been on a shoot this week with the very cool and talented Nick Hufton at Hufton & Crow to shoot a newly finished Saigol DDC property.
